Porta Napoli

Porta Napoli

Try to imagine if in the pixels imprinted on the icon Lecce revealed itself through a gap, a luminous threshold that does not divide but welcomes, and Porta Napoli was transformed into an arch of golden stone suspended between time and light. The surfaces light up with warm reflections, as if the Lecce stone retained the sun and slowly returned it, while the perspective lines lead the gaze into depth, evoking the solemn entrance to the baroque city.In that opening one perceives not only a physical passage, but a cultural crossing, where the Roman heritage merges with the theatricality of the Salento baroque. The architectures are arranged like scenic backdrops, layered and vibrant, recalling the nearby Basilica of Santa Croce and the Cathedral of Lecce, symbols of a decorative language that transforms matter into story.
