Lodi Cathedral
Try to imagine if in the pixels imprinted on the icon you could glimpse the image of the Lodi Cathedral... no longer a façade that presents itself, but a surface that awaits.A presence that does not impose itself, but allows itself to be approached slowly, as if understanding required time, distance, and a certain stillness of gaze. The terracotta masonry would cease to be compact to become a warm and continuous rhythm: a regular texture that does not vary to surprise, but to stabilize. And the rose window, in the centre, does not open as a decoration, but as a circular pause, a space in which the gaze can rest without being guided. The lines of the facade do not lead upwards, but hold back: a horizontal tension that anchors the building to the ground, making it closer than distant, more human than monumental.Nothing exceeds, nothing is wasted.Everything remains contained, like a thought that has chosen measure rather than emphasis.Inside, the light does not invade and settles. It slides along the surfaces, caresses the naves and stops at the points where the shadow becomes denser, creating a slow, almost meditative sequence
