Castello di Arechi
Try to imagine if in the pixels imprinted on the icon it was revealed from above, like a balance between control and openness, and the Castello di Arechi emerged not only as a fortification, but as an absolute observation point, suspended between land and sea.The architectural lines are stratified along the coast, while the city extends towards the water in a continuous rhythm of light volumes and golden reflections. In this tension between verticality and horizontality we perceive the role of the castle, a Lombard legacy and symbol of dominion, which dominates and organizes the space below. The composition lets a warm and fragmented light filter through, which lights up the stone and transforms the landscape into a dynamic, almost moving vision. The references to the Cathedral of Salerno and the tradition of the Salerno Medical School dissolve into architectural details and suspended atmospheres, suggesting a city that is at the same time knowledge, defense and openness towards the Mediterranean.
